Our Chef Shaun Ilchuk was born in the small town of Boissevain Manitoba; however raised from a very young age in the Okanagan. The exposure to the variety of fresh produce from local farms along with the many amazing local wineries has been Chef Shaun's inspiration to pursue a career in the Culinary Trade.
Shaun studied at the Okanagan College in Kelowna and developed his unique style of cooking while working in a variety of restaurants of different ethnicity, from Greek and Italian to Steak and Seafood. His career began to thrive as he began pairing menus paired with wine and spirits.
Shaun's passion for food and wine with having had the opportunity to work in multiple kitchens across the Okanagan has gained him experience with many varieties of products, flavors and techniques that allow those ingredients to speak for themselves.
Shaun is looking forward to furthering his passion, technique and style at the Black Diamond Bar & Grill.
